Tiers
Dropped gear comes in 4 tiers, shown by the frame colour: Common · Uncommon · Rare · Legendary. Higher tiers roll higher base stats, more random options (0–3) and more card slots. Rare and better drops shoot a beam of light when they land.
Weapons and off-hands belong to one class; head, armour, shoes and accessories fit everyone. Gear you can't wear shows red in the bag; a green ↑ marks an upgrade over what you wear.
Refining at Brann
- +1 to +6 is safe: a failure only costs the materials.
- From +7 a failure may break the piece: it isn't lost, but can't be worn until repaired (and drops a level).
- A Guardian Stone prevents the break.
- Weapons glow from +7; at +10 they turn gold and so do your skill effects.
Re-rolls
Re-roll base stats inside the tier's range, then keep the old or the new set · re-roll options, locking the ones you like (more locks cost more) · open card slots up to the tier's cap; this never fails.
